Prior to being a licensed attorney in Vermont, Emily worked as a real estate broker, helping clients buy and sell properties all over the state. She loved traveling to the far corners of Vermont, seeing unique properties, and guiding clients through their transactions. Her experience in the field provided her with a broad network of real estate agents, attorneys, and lenders.
Emily is licensed to practice law in Vermont, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia.
Before entering the field of real estate, Emily’s work experience focused on writing and editing on topics related to privacy and security.
Emily started her career at a non-profit in Washington, D.C. focusing on national security and counterterrorism policies. Her writing was published by CNN, the Washington Post, Foreign Policy Magazine, and various law journals.
She was the assistant editor of the South Asia Channel at Foreign Policy Magazine and provided editing services to a number of NYT bestselling authors.
For two years, she served as the Managing Editor of the law journal International Humanitarian Dialogs, published by the American Society of International Law.
She then worked as a consultant for a global consulting firm, where she crafted policies on behalf of government clients regarding cybersecurity guidance for the private sector.
Before moving to Vermont, she taught graduate writing courses at the Technische Universität in Berlin and worked for large cybersecurity companies in Munich and Berlin while living in Germany.
